Mahjong Solitaire.
A quiet garden. Layered ivory tiles. Find the free pairs and clear your mind.
Keyboard and accessible move buttons
Use Tab and Enter to select these controls. On Block Puzzle, select a piece here, then use arrows and Enter on the focused board.
How to play Mahjong Solitaire
Match two identical free tiles. A tile is free when nothing covers it and at least one horizontal side is open. Clear every tile to solve the board. Choose a 44-, 60- or 72-tile layout. These are compact original layouts, rather than a full traditional 144-tile set.
Computer, mobile and keyboard controls
Select one free tile, then its identical partner. Dots, bamboo, character and symbol tiles must match exactly; flowers are not interchangeable.
Mouse clicks and touchscreen taps use the same rules. Open the accessible controls for HTML move buttons. Escape pauses the focused board; Z undoes a move before the run ends. Changing tabs pauses play.
Tips and strategy
Start with tiles that cover other tiles or close a long row. You can inspect covered tiles, but cannot select them. Each tile type occurs as one pair in these compact layouts, so removing an available matching pair cannot consume the wrong duplicate.
Score and Puzzle Coins
100 points per removed pair. Undo restores the previous board and score. The hint highlights an available pair.
A finished run needs at least 10 active seconds to earn final coins. The reward is floor(score / 30) + 2 per full 30 active seconds, limited to 5–50 coins. Short runs still save their score. Time paused, hidden or idle for more than a minute is not counted.
Puzzle Coins belong only to this portal. Puzzle coins unlock permanent visual themes; hints and undo are free. Themes do not change the rules.
Saving and your profile
Won and lost runs save automatically. Use End & save to stop early. Your unfinished board resumes when you return. Guest coins and records stay in this browser. Your wallet and scores stay separate from Arcade. The leaderboard shows your own results, not other visitors.
